University of Georgia Scientific Illustration
Athens, GA, USA
Here you ’ll find a collection of projects I’ve illustrated throughout my time in the UGA Scientific Illustration program. During this time, I had the opportunity to craft and develop my ideas, express myself in my own style, as well as collaborate with many talented artists.

Red Swamp Crayfish
Specimen in the Environment Project
Design and illustrate, in full color, the natural environment of a natural science specimen.
Heart Tequila Still Life Study
Still Life Study
This still life consists of a Chinese Money plant (pilea plant), an anatomical model of an artery provided by Nucleus Medical Media, and a tequila bottle modeled after a human heart. This still life was my first attempt at illustrating colored glass and a plant specimen from life.

Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas)
Specimen in the Environment Project
A scientific illustration depicting a Green Sea Turtle in its natural environment. Featured in the 2019 Student Scientific And Medical Illustration Juried Exhibition with Augusta University
COVID-19 Advanced Figure Drawings
Figure Drawing
These illustrations were completed in my final Figure Drawing course at the University of Georgia. Some of these drawings are in traditional mediums, such as marker and graphite, however some of these drawings were completed at home digitally due to Shelter in Place requirements for COVID-19.

COVID-19 Advanced Figure Drawings
Figure Drawing
A full figure portrait of Chris Thomas waiting for the microwave to finish cooking a hot pocket. During the first month of the pandemic, we didn't leave the house hardly ever-- so we ate a lot of microwaved food.
COVID-19 Advanced Figure Drawing
Figure Drawing
A quick figure study of my dog's feet.

COVID-19 Advanced Figure Drawing
Figure Drawing
A full figure portrait of Chris Thomas and my dog, Bailey, laying on the bed.
COVID-19 Advanced Figure Drawing
Figure Drawing
A full figure portrait of Chris Thomas playing video games at his desk. This was a common sight for me during the pandemic since we played a lot of video games while stuck at home.

Hand Study of Ripping a Bell Pepper
An Artistic Eye
This illustration was a life study of a classmate's hands as they pulled a bell pepper apart.
2019 Biochemistry Symposium
Promotional Poster
This illustration was created to be used as a promotional poster for the UGA Biochemistry Department's annual Symposium. The theme of the symposium this year was Cancer Immunotherapies and featured researchers such as Marianne Stanford, PhD. This illustration depicts killer T cells attacking a cancerous growth on the back side of an ovary.

Avian Influenza Comparison
Graduate Research
This illustration was created to compare tissues in the mallard duck and boiler chicken to accompany a graduate student's research on avian influenza. Working on this piece enabled us to use our knowledge and skills in different illustration techniques to bring a piece to life which we are extremely proud of.
Thank you to Megan Reeves for collaborating on this project with me!
Geometric Forms Still Life
Still Life Study
This still life consists of multiple geometric pieces from a children's play set. This illustration was completed as my example of basic forms illustration for my application to University of Illinois- Chicago's Medical Illustration program.

Bony Foot Anatomy
Bone Study
For this series, I completed graphite illustrations of the bones of the human foot from life then painted on top of them in Adobe Photoshop. I then created the form of the foot to show the bones' positioning. I also completed a poster layout for the superior and plantar views of the foot.
